2 children, 2 adults injured in crash on Hwy 183 in S Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Two children and two adults were injured Saturday night in a pin-in collision on Highway 183 in south Austin, according to the official Twitter account of the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of South U.S. Highway 183 and South FM 973 (also known as Clinger Road), and involved at least two vehicles.

Two children were reportedly ejected during the crash and at least one adult was pinned within the wreckage.

One adult was taken to Dell Seton, while the other was brought to South Austin Medical Center. Both are being treated for serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.

The two children were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center, also for the treatment of serious, possibly life-threatening wounds.

The identities of the victims and the circumstances of the collision were not released in the tweet.
