Dog dead, elderly woman in hospital after house fire on Richmond Ave
AUSTIN, TX – An elderly woman was injured and her dog was killed during a house fire on Richmond Avenue last night, according to KXAN.
The fire happened in the 4500 block of Richmond Avenue, near Manchaca Road and Highway 290, at about 9 p.m.
A neighbor helped rescue the victim from the structure. She was then taken to the hospital with critical injuries that were possibly life-threatening.
The victim’s dog died in the fire.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
