Person dead following wilderness rescue in North Austin
AUSTIN, TX – Paramedics with Austin-Travis County EMS have reported a single fatality following a wilderness rescue in North Austin Friday.
According to KXAN, emergency services responded to the incident near Walnut Creek around noon on Friday.
First responders reported one unresponsive person at the scene. The patient died after paramedics performed CPR for nearly 30 minutes.
Details regarding the events leading up the incident have not been released. Police do not believe the death to be suspicious.
