AUSTIN, TX – One adult and two children were hospitalized after a major crash on FM 812 in the Pilot Knob area last night, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened in the 8900 block of FM 812 Rd just after 9 p.m.

One adult victim was taken to South Austin Medical Center for the treatment of severe, possibly life-threatening injuries.

Two children suffered possibly severe injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening, and were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center for treatment.

AUSTIN, TX – One person was hospitalized after suffering an injury on a trail near Bob Wentz Park on Lake Travis this afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

5 people injured in early-morning crash on Parmer Ln

AUSTIN, TX – Five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Parmer Lane this morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened at E Parmer Ln and McCallen Pass before 6 a.m., when two vehicles collided.

At least one person was pinned within the wreckage.

Four adult victims, including the person pinned in their vehicle, were declared trauma alerts. Two of those trauma alert patients were then taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Another patient was taken to the hospital with severe, possibly life-threatening wounds.

The fourth trauma alert victim was brought to the hospital for the treatment of possibly severe injuries.

A fifth person suffered minor injuries and refused transport to the hospital.

Man injured after driver fails to yield at stop sign on Southwest Pkwy

AUSTIN, TX – A man was injured after an elderly driver reportedly caused a collision on the Southwest Parkway on Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision happened on the Southwest Pkwy near Vega Avenue at 9:46 a.m., after the 88-year-old driver of a maroon 2017 Lexus failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign.

The front end of the Lexus then crashed into the front-left quarter of a gold 2008 Chevrolet.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 38-year-old man, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

His three passengers, one of them a minor, and the at-fault driver were not injured in the collision.

Update: Officials ID victims killed in July 10 crash on I-35 and E 53rd St

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities have identified the two men who were killed after their car fell off the side of the I-35 frontage road bridge on July 10, according to KXAN.

This is an update to a previous news story.

The crash occurred in the 5200 block of the N I-35 frontage road, near E 53rd Street, at about 4:20 a.m., when a vehicle fell off the frontage road bridge and onto the roadway below.

20-year-old David Bearden and 38-year-old Charlie Jackson, both of whom were passengers, were ejected during the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third passenger was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The driver then fled the scene.

AUSTIN, TX – Three people were killed after a car went off the side of an overpass in southeast Austin early this morning, according to KXAN.

The accident occurred near I-35 and Ben White Boulevard in the 3600 block of Todd Lane at 2:45 a.m., when two vehicles collided, causing one of them to roll over the side of the overpass and onto the service road below the roadway.

Three adult victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

DUI suspected in crash that caused injury to driver and passenger in N Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A woman accused of driving under the influence and her passenger were injured in a crash in North Austin on Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred in the 12800 block of Irongate Avenue, near Singletree Avenue, at 8:31 a.m.

The driver of a brown 2011 Nissan, a 30-year-old woman, is suspected of being under the influence of drugs when she crashed into the back-left end of a black 1998 Ford. The Nissan then overturned.

The driver of the Nissan and her 29-year-old passenger suffered possible injuries in the crash. A second passenger was unharmed.

It is unclear if anyone was in the Ford when the crash occurred.
