AUSTIN, TX – According to the City of Austin, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office is responding to injuries following a crash on Westlake Drive near Mt Larson Road.
The accident was reported at around 1:15 p.m. this afternoon. At least one person was injured in the incident. It is currently unclear what caused the injury.

AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed, and another two people were injured following a three-vehicle pin-in collision on I-35 early this morning, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident occurred in the 9900 block of N I-35 northbound at about 2 a.m., when three vehicles collided.
One person was pinned within the wreckage for a short time. By 2:17 a.m., authorities had managed to free the victim and had begun to administer CPR. Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by 2:36 a.m.
Two other people were taken to the hospital in Round Rock with non-critical injuries.
A fourth person refused treatment at the scene.
Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area, and to expect closures as the accident was being investigated.

The crash happened on westbound US-290, near Scenic Brook Drive in the West Oak Hill area, at 10:10 p.m., when a motorcycle and another vehicle collided.
One person was declared a trauma alert and was reportedly unconscious when authorities arrived. The victim was taken to St. David’s South for the treatment of severe, possibly life-threatening wounds.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area due to traffic delays and possible road closures.
The victim’s identity and the cause of the crash are not yet available.

The crash happened in the 600 block of Bastrop Highway at 8:17 p.m., when a vehicle crashed and overturned.
One person was ejected from the vehicle in the collision. They were declared a trauma alert, and then taken to Dell Seton with possibly serious wounds.

Traffic Alert: SH 71 is closed in both directions at RM 2322-Pace Bend Rd due to a crash. Police have closed all lanes to clean up the mess. Allow extra time for this route until opened. #atxtraffic

The accident happened near the town of Briarcliff, on State Highway 71, near RM 2322 Road/Pace Bend Road S, at about 3:25 p.m.
Authorities closed both directions of SH-71 as they worked the collision and cleaned up the scene.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area and to allow for extra travel time due to traffic delays.
The roadway was reopened by 7:23 p.m.
At this point, it is unclear what led to the crash, or if anyone was injured as a result.

At least one person was trapped within the wreckage for nearly 30 minutes.
Three people were declared trauma alerts and were taken to the hospital in Round Rock with possibly severe injuries.
