Two South Austin accidents occur within minutes

AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police responded to two accidents occurring during along East Riverside Drive during Thursday evening’s rush hour.

One incident happened near the intersection of Montopolis drive and E. Riverside Dr. just after 4:30 p.m. The other occurred several minutes later at the point where E. Riverside Dr. meets the Ben White Boulevard just a few blocks east, according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page. 

Authorities did not report any injuries as a result of either crash. They also have no reason to believe the incidents were related.Both intersections have since been reopened.

Rush hour crash at Austin City Hall

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in downtown Austin reported an accident near busy downtown street adjacent to City Hall during Tuesday morning rush hour.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident happened at about 9:00 a.m. along the 100 block of Lavaca Street near the First Street Bridge northbound.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash. However, the incident did cause delays in traffic throughout the morning and into early afternoon Tuesday.

Collision reported near Walter E. Long Park

AUSTIN, TX – Austin emergency services are reporting a collision Northeast of downtown early Monday evening, according to the Austin- Travis County traffic report page. 

The accident occurred along Bloor Road at the north end of Walter E. Long park near the intersection with Texas 130 Toll frontage road. Authorities have not released any information regarding the cause of the crash or if any injuries were sustained as a result.

This portion of Bloor Rd. near TX 130 will likely be shut down while the collision is investigated and cleared from the road. Officials are advising motorists to take an alternate route when traveling to and around the park throughout Monday evening.

Crash causes rush hour delays on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency Services in North Austin were forced to close down lanes on Interstate 35 following a crash late Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred on Interstate 35 near the exit for 51st Street just before 2:00 p.m., according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page. East Austin crash closes road near downtown

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities in East Austin reported a crash that closed down a residential road near East 12th Street Tuesday morning.

According to the Austin Traffic tracker, the incident occurred just after 10:00 a.m. on Hargrave Street east of downtown Austin. Austin Police shut down the portion of Hargrave St. between 12th St. and Sol Wilson Avenue while the crash was investigated and cleared.

Rush hour accident reported in North Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in North Austin responded to an accident on Burnet Road northbound early Monday evening.

According to the Austin Police Traffic Viewer, the accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Burnet Road and Research Boulevard near the Highway 183 on-ramp.

The incident is being reported as a crash service and will likely shut down at least one lane on Burnet Rd. Northbound for a portion of Monday evening’s rush hour commute.
