AUSTIN, TX – According to KXAN, a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on SH 45 not far from Parmer Lane early this morning.
A man was pushing a cart across the roadway at around 2:30 a.m. this morning when he was hit by a car. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver who hit the man fled the crash scene but abandoned the vehicle.
Another driver struck the pedestrian and cooperated with the police. The crash is still under investigation at this time.

AUSTIN, TX – According to CBS Austin, a pedestrian was killed early this morning after being hit by a DPS trooper in Downtown Austin.
The accident took place just west of the state capital at around 3:40 a.m. A 50-year-old man was reportedly lying in the roadway. The officer was patrolling the area when the crash occurred.

AUSTIN, TX – A scooter rider was severely injured after being struck by a driver on Congress Avenue yesterday afternoon, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened near the intersection of S Congress Avenue and W Riverside Drive at 2:07 p.m.
An adult victim was taken to Dell Seton Hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. Medics were attempting CPR on the victim as of 2:26 p.m.
The victim’s identity and current condition were not immediately available.
Authorities asked drivers to avoid the area, as road closures were likely as investigators worked the crash.

AUSTIN, TX – One person was critically injured after falling from a skateboard near the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park in North Austin on Friday evening.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, the accident occurred at 12014 Lincolnshire Drive at 5:04 p.m., when an adult victim fell from a skateboard and onto the paved trail.

The victim sustained traumatic injuries in the fall.
EMS personnel initially planned to move the victim using a stretcher, and then take them to the ambulance, which would be driven as far down the trail as possible.
The victim was instead taken from the trail via the use of a big wheel and was then declared a trauma alert.
They were taken to Dell Seton with critical, life-threatening wounds. Their identity was not immediately released.

AUSTIN, TX – A person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after they fell down the side of a cliff in the Barton Creek Greenbelt last night.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, the accident occurred in West Austin, in the 2800 block of Barton Skyway at 7 p.m., when the victim fell about 40 feet from the side of a cliff.

The initial plan was for the victim to be hoisted out via helicopter. However, in order to do that, the patient had to be moved from their location at the base of a cliff. They were moved down a slope of about 100 feet to the middle of the greenbelt area, where the helicopter could better access them.
After being rescued from the cliff, the victim was taken to Dell Seton with serious, possibly life-threatening wounds. Their identity was not immediately released.

AUSTIN, TX – According to KXAN, Jesse Gomez Jr. was killed in a crash on Highway 71 after reportedly walking onto the roadway.
The accident took place at around 6:18 a.m. When Gomez walked onto the roadway, causing cars to swerve around him. He was struck and killed by a Ford Expedition. Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver who struck the man stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the police. Charges are not expected at this time.
