Pedestrian hit and injured in collision on North Lamar Boulevard

AUSTIN, TX- A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured on the roadway in a North Lamar Boulevard crash on Thursday, according to CBS Austin.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the 10500 block of North Lamar Boulevard at approximately 11:31pm on Thursday. Officials arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian to be seriously injured with potentially life-threatening ailments. The driver remained cooperative at the scene of the crash, while officials transported the pedestrian to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment.

One pedestrian critically injured in Hayride Circle accident

EAST TRAVIS HILLS, TX- A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle early Thursday near Hayride Circle, reports Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

The collision between the pedestrian and the vehicle occurred at approximately 1:32am near the intersection of Hayride Circle and Hayride Road. STAR Flight was called to transport the injured victim to St. David’s South Medical Center.

Update: More details emerge in fatal pedestrian crash on Ben White

AUSTIN, TX – The pedestrian killed on E Ben White Boulevard yesterday was attempting to direct traffic away from a pickup truck that had spilled mulch onto the roadway, Fox 7 reports.

The victim was part of a work crew that was riding in the pickup truck, which was also hauling a load of mulch. Some of that mulch spilled off the truck as it approached Highway 71 on E Ben White, prompting the driver to stop the vehicle so that the crew could retrieve the mulch.

Two vehicles apparently collided as they attempted to avoid the crew in the roadway. The force of that collision pushed one of the vehicles into a crew member, fatally injuring him. That individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Austin Police Sgt. Earl Garrison said that the workers should have contacted authorities rather than try to clean the spill up themselves.

Pedestrian killed near Austin-Bergstrom

AUSTIN, TX – An adult pedestrian was killed in a collision with a motor vehicle on E Ben White Boulevard near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport late this morning.

Austin-Travis County EMS were called to the 8300 block of E Ben White Blvd at 11:07 a.m. after a motor vehicle hit a pedestrian. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash on SH 45 near Parmer Lane

Pedestrian falls to death from 290 flyover

AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian was killed in a multi-vehicle collision after falling from a US 290 flyover on Thursday night, CBS Austin reports.

Three vehicles were ultimately involved in the crash, which occurred in the 5000 block of of the W US 290 service road in southwest Austin.

Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. It is unclear whether anyone in the vehicles was hurt.
