AUSTIN, TX- Multiple people were hospitalized after a crash near East 15th Street Thursday evening, according to CBS Austin.

The incident occurred at the intersection of East 15th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard when a Jeep and a sedan collided. The sedan then spun out of control, hitting the front of a city bus stopped nearby.

Four of the six occupants in the Jeep were seriously injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment. None of the injuries are expected to be life-threatening.

No other injuries were reported as a direct result of the crash.

AUSTIN, TX- A 20-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle collision earlier this month on Jollyville Road, according to KXAN.

At approximately 9:08pm on August 17, an unidentified 20-year-old driving a blue Hyundai collided with a black Honda HR-V that drove into oncoming traffic near 11000 Jollyville Road. The Honda struck the Hyundai and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash shortly after.

One critically injured after crashing into building on North Lamar Boulevard

AUSTIN, TX- One victim is critically injured after crashing into a storefront early Wednesday, according to KXAN.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:00am at a print shop on the corner of North Lamar Boulevard and San Gabriel Street. The vehicle slammed into the front of the store, starting a fire in the building. Officials arrived to the scene of the accident and found the driver to be seriously injured. The victim was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center in life-threatening conditions.

AUSTIN, TX- Officials responded to reports of a pin-in crash with two serious injuries on Ben White Boulevard early Sunday, according to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

The collision occurred near 300 of West Ben White Boulevard at approximately 12:02am. Two victims were pinned in their vehicles, seriously injured, and had to be extricated by officials who arrived at the scene. One victim was removed and transported to Dell Seton Medical Center, while the other to South Austin Medical Center- both with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Driver missing after car sinks into Lady Bird Lake

AUSTIN, TX- A car was reported to be sinking into Lady Bird Lake early Friday, and officials are still searching for the driver, according to KXAN.

911 callers reported a vehicle sinking into Lady Bird Lake behind the Hyatt Regency Austin hotel at approximately 12:40am. Officials, including paramedic swimmers, firefighters, and EMS services, arrived to the scene of the crash to locate the car and driver. The vehicle was located but officials have been unable to locate the potential driver or remove the vehicle from the lake at this time.

3 seriously injured in crash on FM 2222 at US-183

AUSTIN, TX – Three victims were seriously injured after a Tuesday night crash on FM 2222 in north Austin, according to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

At approximately 5:28 pm, the two-vehicle crash occurred in the 9000 block of FM 2222.

Two occupants were trapped in each vehicle and were extricated by medics.

One victim was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries, one to Lakeway, and the third to Cedar Park. None of the injuries are expected to be life-threatening.

Collision on E 51st St. leaves 1 injured

AUSTIN, TX – Officials reported one more serious injury in an accident on 51st Street early Saturday, according to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

At approximately 3:34 am, a two-vehicle crash was reported in the 1500 block of East 51st Street. One victim was reported unconscious. The victim was transported to St. David’s Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.

One injured in crash on Research Boulevard median crash

AUSTIN, TX- One victim was injured early Friday after hitting a median and falling near northbound Research Boulevard, according to CBS Austin.

At approximately 2:49am, a driver in a Toyota 4-Runner slammed into a median, causing the driver to somehow fall 30 feet to the roadway below. The vehicle stayed up by the median. Officials arrived to the scene of the crash and transported the victim to an area hospital with serious injuries. Officials are uncertain to how the vehicle stayed above while the driver fell to the roadway beneath the scene of the accident.

Tesla engulfed in flames in West Austin DWI accident

AUSTIN, TX- A young driver in a Tesla slammed into a pole overnight Thursday, causing a massive vehicle fire according to ABC 13.

The crash happened at approximately 1:30am when an intoxicated juvenile driver collided with a traffic pole, causing the Tesla to catch on fire. Officials responded to the accident, allegedly using over 40 times the amount of water they would use for a normal car fire, given that Teslas are electric.

The driver was able to remove himself from the vehicle without the assistance of officials. No injuries have been reported at this time, however, the driver has been charged with driving under the influence. We will be monitoring for updates.
