Critical incident closes lanes on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in South Austin redirected traffic on Interstate 35 for a couple of hours following a Thursday afternoon crash.

According to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS, the incident happened in the southbound lanes of I-35 near State Highway 71 just before 12:00 p.m.

Emergency services transported one individual to the hospital following the crash. Details regarding the extent of thier injuries have not been made public.

Motorists were diverted around this portion of I-35 for about 2 hours until the lanes were reopened just after 2:00 p.m.

South Austin collision causes rush-hour delays

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in South Austin have reported delays following a crash along an East Ben White service road late Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the incident occurred just after 3:45 p.m, within the 2300 block of East Ben White Boulevard.

Officials have not reported any injuries once arriving at the scene of the crash. However, this situation is still developing. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area as delays and closures are likely throughout Wednesday evening.

Collision reported along I-35 in South Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities in South Austin have reported delays resulting from a rush-hour crash on Interstate 35 Tuesday evening.

According to the Austin- Travis County traffic report page, the crash happened along the I-35 service road near Oltorf at about 2:20 p.m.

Officials have not reported any injuries resulting from the crash. However, officials are still reporting traffic delays along this portion of the I-35 frontage road southbound as of Tuesday evening. Motorists have been advised to find an alternate route if at all possible.
