UPDATE: Police identify Bicyclist killed in north Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in North Austin have identified the bicyclist who was killed in a previously reported collision near U.S. 183 on Wednesday, August 26th.

According to Fox 7 Austin, Travis Larson, 32, was killed when he was struck by the driver of a Toyota Corolla near the intersection of U.S. 183 frontage road and Lake Creek Parkway shortly before 10:30 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Larson attempted to perform CPR immediately following the crash. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful and Larson died at the scene.

No charges have bee filed against the driver as of yet. An investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway.

Bicyclist killed after being struck by a vehicle in North Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle at a North Austin intersection late Wednesday night.

The incident occurred within the intersection of the State Highway 183 frontage road and Lake Creek Parkway just before 10:30 p.m., according to CBS Austin.

Officials with Austin-Travis County EMS found the bicyclist dead upon thier arrival. The motorist involved remained at the scene to render assistance and is cooperating with investigators.

UPDATE Bicyclist killed in crash near the Austin airport identified

AUSTIN, TX – Police in South Austin have identified the bicyclist killed in a previously reported hit-and-run collision near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on August 3rd.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, Miguel Angel Rodriguez, 41, was struck while riding his bicycle in the westbound lanes in the 1500 block of Texas State Highway 71 at about 5:50 a.m.

Rodriguez was hit by multiple vehicles, two of which remained on the scene while their drivers assistance. The first driver to hit the bicyclist sped away.

Details regarding the first driver to hit Rodriguez are still under investigation.

Bicyclist killed after crash on SH 71

AUSTIN, TX – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a car along State Highway 71, near Austin – Bergstrom International Airport, early Monday morning.

According to KXAN, the collision occurred on SH 71 westbound near Brandt Drive shortly before 6:00 a.m. Details regarding the circumstances that led up to the incident have not been made available as of Monday night.

Police have not yet released information regarding the identity of the victim or the driver involved in the crash. We will continue to monitor this developing story and provide any updates as they are made public.
