AUSTIN, TX- Officials have identified the motorcyclist involved in the fatal Congress Avenue accident that occurred in late June, according to Fox 7 News Austin.
On June 26th, 51-year-old Mitchell Leslie Pitman was driving a motorcycle in the left lane on Congress Avenue when a 2021 Jeep Gladiator turned left in front of him. The vehicle struck PItman and ejected him from the motorcycle, causing life threatening injuries. Pitman was urgently transported to St. David’s South Austin Hospital where he died from his injuries on July 6.
Officials released information about his identity on Thursday.
