SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio woman was killed after being hit by a Hummer while attempting to cross a dark street early Tuesday morning.
According to My San Antonio, 61-year-old Terry Ann Rowland was hit while attempting to cross in the 7700 block of Culebra Road just after 6:00 a.m. Police say she was not in a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Hummer remained at the scene and rendered assistance to the victim. No charges are being filed against him at this time.
An official investigation into the crash remains underway as of Tuesday afternoon.

CYPRESS, TX – An 18-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in Cypress on Tuesday night, according to Houston Chronicle.
The accident happened at the intersection of Mound Road and Crossland Park Lane at approximately 9:22 p.m.
Police say the female exited her vehicle to examine something she saw on the road when she was struck by a 72-year-old driver at the intersection.
The victim suffered severe head injuries and was flown by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Downtown. She was in critical but stable condition.

AUSTIN, TX – A man has been charged with driving while intoxicated and intoxication manslaughter after hitting and killing a female pedestrian on the city’s far northwest side last week, My Texas Daily reports.
The accident happened at the intersection of Pond Springs Road and U.S. Highway 183 at approximately 10:36 p.m on May 21.
Gary Joseph Brauneis, 27, was driving a grey 2010 Mazda M3i northbound on the service road when he struck a 2014 GMC pickup truck stopped at a red light intersection. The impact launched the truck into the intersection while the Mazda continued accelerating, striking a woman who was walking on the sidewalk. The Mazda did not stop until it crashed into a building.
The victim—identified as Ginger Mattox, 30—was transported to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Brauneis was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated, and charged with intoxication manslaughter
