One hospitalized after falling in Bull Creek Greenbelt

AUSTIN, TX – Officials with Austin-Travis County emergency services responded to a slip-and-fall accident that left one person injured near the Bull Creek Greenbelt.

According to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS, the incident occurred when the victim was attempting to leave within the 7000 block of Spicewood Springs Road shortly before 5:00 p.m.

Officials treated the patient at the scene and prepared them to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Their injuries have not been deemed life-threatening at this time.

One dead after attempting to cross North Austin Interstate

AUSTIN, TX -Emergency Services reported one person dead after being hit by a car along Interstate 35 in the early morning hours of Friday, July 10th.

The incident happened on the 11800 block of I-35 at about 4:30 a.m. The pedestrian, an unidentified male, was attempting to cross the southbound lanes when he was struck by a driver in a Hyundai Elantra, according to Fox 7 Austin.

Upon their arrival at the scene, paramedics performed life-saving measures that were deemed unsuccessful after a short amount of time.

The identity of the victim has not yet been uncovered. Charges are not expected to be filed against the driver involved in the crash.

Urgent rush-hour crash reported in East Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in East Austin are reporting a rush-hour accident near two public parks on Friday evening.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident occurred at the intersection of East 12th Street and Cedar Avenue near both Downs Park and Rosewood Park at 5:30 p.m.

Information on what caused the accident to occur or how many vehicles were involved has not yet been made available. However, motorists are advised to avoid the area throughout Friday evening’s rush-hour as delays are likely.
