TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – Officials with the Travis County Sheriff’s office shut down at least one lane following an afternoon collision in Northeast Austin Friday.

The accident was reported at about 3:19 p.m. in the westbound lanes of SH-290 near George Bush Street, according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page.

Information regarding the number of vehicles involved in the collision or if any injuries were sustained as a result has not yet been made public.

Multiple injuries reported after North Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in North Austin responded to a collision that resulted in three hospitalizations late Sunday morning.

The incident occurred within the northbound lanes of State Highway 130 near the Parmer Lane off-ramp around 11:45 a.m., according to CBS Austin.

Initial reports claimed two people were trapped in their vehicles. Upon their arrival, paramedics announced that there had been three vehicles involved in the crash and five victims at the scene.

EMS rushed three victims to a local hospital to bet treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Victim identified in fatal Research Blvd. crash

AUSTIN, TX –  Investigators with the Austin Police Department have identified the man killed in a north Austin crash earlier this month.

According to KXAN, the incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. within the 9100 block of Research Boulevard on September 15th.

Police say a 2016 Ford Escape driven by 38-year-old Austin Boggus left the roadway and crossed the median before crashing into a concrete sign. Boggus was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries three days later.

An investigation into what may have caused Boggus to lose control of his vehicle remains underway.
