AUSTIN, TX -Emergency Services reported one person dead after being hit by a car along Interstate 35 in the early morning hours of Friday, July 10th.
The incident happened on the 11800 block of I-35 at about 4:30 a.m. The pedestrian, an unidentified male, was attempting to cross the southbound lanes when he was struck by a driver in a Hyundai Elantra, according to Fox 7 Austin.
Upon their arrival at the scene, paramedics performed life-saving measures that were deemed unsuccessful after a short amount of time.
The identity of the victim has not yet been uncovered. Charges are not expected to be filed against the driver involved in the crash.

AUSTIN, TX – One adult pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle along Interstate 35 early Friday morning.
North Austin Paramedics responded to a report of a person being hit along the 11800 block of Interstate 35 southbound just after 4:30 a.m., according to the Austin American Statesman.
Medics attempted life-saving measures on the victim but were unsuccessful. The investigation closed all southbound lanes on I-35 near Breaker Lane for a few hours Friday morning, the lanes have since been reopened.
