Driver flees on foot after crashing into San Antonio home

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio are searching for the driver responsible for crashing into a family home and fled the scene on foot Sunday night.

According to KENS, the collision occurred at a home within the 3000 block of East Southcross near the intersection with Meeks Avenue at about 11:30 p.m.

Police are unsure of what may have caused the driver to collide with the home. However, there were several adults and children inside the house at the time of the crash. Luckily, none of them sustained any injuries as a result.

Witnesses at the scene believe they saw a man run away from the wreckage. No other identifying information has been released as of yet.

Van Ormy Police officer hospitalized after being struck by vehicle on I-35

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One police officer was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle along I-35 early Friday morning.

According to KSAT, the officer was assisting in traffic control following a tractor-trailer accident on I-35 near Loop 1604 at about 1:30 a.m. Investigators say the officer was exiting his patrol car when another vehicle careened into the driver’s side rear door, striking the officer in the process.

The officer was airlifted to University Hospital to be treated for a potentially life-threatening head injury immediately following the crash.

The driver involved was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

San Antonio man falls asleep at the wheel, rolls vehicle on I-37

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man from San Antonio was lucky to survive a crash that rolled his vehicle over along I-37 late Monday night.

According to KENS, the incident happened south of downtown along I-37 near I-410 shortly before midnight. Police say the man fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the side of the road causing the vehicle to overturn.

Luckily, a tow truck was immediately behind the driver when the crash occurred and was able to stop and render aid. The driver was pulled from the vehicle and refused medical aid at the scene. A passanger in the vehicle fled the scene on foot for an unknown reason.

The driver was released from the scene with no charges expected to be filed.

Driver in stable condition after being pulled from San Antonio blowout crash

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was rushed to the hospital after being pulled from her mangled vehicle by members of the San Antonio Fire and Police Departments Friday morning.

According to KENS, the crash occurred on I-35 near Rittman Road at about 3:00 a.m. when one of the vehicle’s tires ruptured, causing the driver to lose control and strike a utility pole. The vehicle overturned in the collision.

An off-duty police officer and ambulance service came upon the wreckage and worked to free the woman before marked vehicles arrived. The unidentified woman was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

San Antonio pursuit ended in crash involving VIA Transit van

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A police chase that lasted several miles through San Antonio’s northeast side ended in a violent collision Wednesday.

According to KSAT, the chase began when a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Deputy attempted to pull the suspect over for running a number of stop signs along Woodlake Parkway. The chase came to an end when the driver collided with a VIA Transit van and a pickup truck near I-10 and Foster Road.

The suspect and passenger were both transported to the hospital to be treated for serious, but not expected to be life-threatening injuries. Both the driver in the transit van and pickup truck were treated and released from the scene.

Suspect flees police, running over one person and striking 2 cars in the act

SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio Police have one suspect in custody after he allegedly ran over another man and struck two other cars Friday morning.

According to KSAT, 30-year-old Jose Alex De Luna was involved in an argument with another individual when he got in his car and ran the man down in the 4800 block of Birdie Lane.

After striking the man, De Luna put the car in reverse and hit two other parked cars nearby. He was taken into custody at home shortly before 3:00 a.m.

The victim suffered an injury to their leg and was transported to a local hospital. His condition remains unknown at this time.

Three arrested after crashing a stolen car while attempting to flee San Antonio Police

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Officials with the San Antonio Police Department arrested three minors after they crashed a stolen car into a fence while trying to evade police early Tuesday morning.

According to News 4 San Antonio, the incident occurred at about midnight when police attempted to stop the stolen vehicle within the intersection of Rigsby Avenue and South WW White Road. The driver immediately sped away, and police were forced to stop the chase due to a “no pursuit policy.”

The vehicle was soon found after it collided with a fence just a few blocks away. Police arrested and booked the suspects on a number of charges.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision.

Erratic driver killed in San Antonio collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio police discovered a driver had been killed after reportedly driving erratically Sunday afternoon.

According to KSAT, officials responded to witness reports of a man driving in a dangerous manner within the 1200 block of Weidner Road Northeast of downtown around 12:00 p.m.

Once officers were able to locate the vehicle, they found it had crashed into a trucking facility and the driver had been ejected. Police say the man drover through a fence and collided with a garage door within the facility.

Emergency services attempted life-saving measures on the victim. However, their efforts were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three women seriously injured in San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Several people were transported to the hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on the East Side early Sunday morning.

According to KSAT, the crash happened along Interstate 10 near Ackerman Road at about 12:50 a.m. Police say that after being involved in the crash, one of the drivers contacted a family member to help extract them from the vehicle. The family member arrived on the scene and was removing tools from her trunk when her car was struck by an oncoming vehicle, pinning her in between.

The second woman was quickly taken to Brooke Army Medical center to be treated for critical injuries. Two other individuals were taken to Northeast Baptist Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver who struck the family member’s car may be charged with DWI as a result of the incident.

Suspects on the run after crashing vehicle into San Antonio light pole

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Officials with the San Antonio Police Department are searching for two individuals who crashed their car into a stoplight and fled the scene early Tuesday morning.

According to KENS, the collision happened at about 4:00 p.m. within the intersection of the I-35 Frontage Road and Division Avenue south of downtown.

A witness believes they saw the driver speed through the red light and crash into the light pole. After the collision both a male and female occupant exited the car and sprinted away on foot.

Police say the vehicle was not stolen. No identifying information on the suspects has been released as of Wednesday evening.
