Man injured in Southeast San Antonio collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio man had to be airlifted to the hospital following a serious collision involving an 18-wheeler Thursday morning.

According to News4SA, the 35-year-old man was “partially ejected” from his sedan after rear-ending the semi-truck at a high rate of speed within the 12000 block of northbound U.S. Highway 181.

The driver was transported to the hospital after reporting severe abdominal pains as a result of the crash. Details regarding the identities of those involved have yet to be released by San Antonio officials.

Multi-18-wheeler collision shuts down lanes on I-37

SAN ANTONIO, TX – An 18-wheeler spilled its contents onto a San Antonio freeway after colliding with another truck early Tuesday morning.

According to My San Antonio, the collision occurred along Interstate 37 near Hardy Road shortly after 1:00 a.m. One truck collided with the rear-end of another, causing its back door to rip off and spill cabbage all over the freeway.

One driver was treated for minor injures while the other was not hurt in the collision. Both trucks sustained significant damage as a result of the crash.

Three injured in San Antonio 18-wheeler crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Three people were sent to the hospital following a T-bone collision involving an 18-wheeler south of San Antonio Sunday night.

The crash happened within the intersection of Palo Alto Road and Mission Gate at about 10:00 p.m., according to KENS.

Police believe a black sedan was struck by the semi when the driver unknowingly pulled in front of the truck. The collision caused the car to spin around, coming to a stop in the northbound lanes of Palo Alto Rd.

The two occupants in the car were transported to the hosptial in stable condition. The driver is said to have sustained “significant injuries.” The driver of the truck was also taken to the hosptial to be treated for minor injuries.

Authorities do not believe any charges will be filed, nor did alcohol play a role in the collision.
