Two people possibly hurt following accident on Thaxton Rd

EAST BLUFF SPRINGS, TX (TRAVIS COUNTY) – Two people were possibly injured following a collision south of Austin on Wednesday evening, according to MyAccidentReport.

The crash occurred in the 8600 block of Thaxton Road, located about halfway between Bluff Springs and Colton, at 6:22 p.m., when the driver of a blue 2017 Hyundai failed to yield the right of way.

The front left of the Hyundai then collided with the front of a black 2003 Ford, driven by a 37-year-old man.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 31-year-old woman, was possibly injured in the crash. The second driver sustained what authorities believe to have been minor injuries.

The identities of the victims were not made immediately available.

UPDATE: Driver arrested following crash south of Austin

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – According to KXAN, a driver has been arrested following a crash on FM 1625 for failure to stop and render aid.

The accident took place yesterday on FM 1625 near Creedmoor. 23-year-old Sergio Ramirez Gonzalez has been charged with failure to stop and render aid with bodily injury. Gonzalez is accused of intentionally over accelerating. His vehicle left the roadway and he struck another car as he tried to get back on the road.

Gonzalez fled the scene of the crash on foot and was later apprehended.

Man ID’d as victim of last weekend’s deadly pedestrian crash in Travis Co.

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – Authorities have released the identity of a man who died after being struck by a vehicle last weekend on FM 812, southeast of Austin, according to KXAN.

The victim, 43-year-old Red Rock man Seth Joplin, was trying to walk across FM 812 when he was struck by a 2020 Toyota Tundra at about 7 p.m. on November 14.

Joplin died of injuries sustained during the accident.

The two occupants of the Tundra were not reported as injured.

Authorities are continuing to look into the crash at this time.

Nine injured, including 6 children, in FM 812 accident

DALE, TX (TRAVIS COUNTY)– Nine people, including six children, were injured in an accident yesterday southeast of Austin, on Farm to Market Road 812, according to the official Twitter account of Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened around 7:45 p.m. at the 13900 block of FM 812. Currently, the circumstances of the crash and the identities of the victims are unknown.

A teenager was airlifted to Dell Children’s Medical Center with injuries that were serious, although not expected to be life-threatening. One child was transported to the same hospital with potentially serious injuries.

The remaining patients, except for one who refused treatment, were taken to various local hospitals for the treatment of minor injuries.
