Two drivers injured in multi-vehicle crash on Highway 290

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 290 on Wednesday morning, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision happened on Hwy 290, west of State Highway 130 at 11 a.m., when the 22-year-old driver of a 2019 Chevrolet failed to maintain her attention on the roadway, then ran a red light.

Her vehicle then collided with a white 2012 Kia and a black 2009 Hyundai being driven by a 44-year-old woman.
