Vehicle careens into the Colorado River following police chase
AUSTIN, TX – An Austin Police chase ended with a vehicle being submerged in the Colorado River Wednesday afternoon.
According to KXAN, Police received the report of a possibly stolen, suspicious vehicle at about 12:23 p.m. When they located the car in question, the driver at temped to evade the police and a chase ensued.
The driver eventually swerved off of the roadway and into the river at the 400 block of South Pleasant Valley Road.
No one was injured as a result of the crash. Information on any charges filed against the driver has yet to be released.
