Driver abandons truck after crashing into a guard rail
SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio police found an abandoned pickup truck that had been severely damaged after colliding into a guard rail early Monday morning.
According to KENS, the collision occurred at about 12:00 a.m. somewhere between Ingram road and Wurzbach Road west of downtown. Police say the truck was found between the guard rail and retaining wall. No driver was found anywhere near the scene.
Officials have reason to believe the incident was the result of a “joy ride” after a child took a vehicle that belonged to their parents.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision.
