Driver in stable condition after being pulled from San Antonio blowout crash
SAN ANTONIO – A woman was rushed to the hospital after being pulled from her mangled vehicle by members of the San Antonio Fire and Police Departments Friday morning.
According to KENS, the crash occurred on I-35 near Rittman Road at about 3:00 a.m. when one of the vehicle’s tires ruptured, causing the driver to lose control and strike a utility pole. The vehicle overturned in the collision.
An off-duty police officer and ambulance service came upon the wreckage and worked to free the woman before marked vehicles arrived. The unidentified woman was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
