Man reported injured after being rear-ended on SH-71 in W Austin
AUSTIN, TX – One injury was reported following a two-vehicle accident caused by an unlicensed driver in west Austin on Wednesday morning, according to an accident report posted by MyAccident.org.
The accident happened on SH-71 near Fletcher Lane at about 11:05 a.m. after the driver of a white 1993 Ford ran through a traffic light.
The Ford, driven by a 42-year-old man from Dripping Springs who was not carrying a valid license, then collided with the rear of a white 2014 Honda.
The driver of the Honda, a 37-year-old man, was reported as injured in the crash. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
The driver of the Ford and his passenger, a 33-year-old man, were not hurt in the collision.
All three men were wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.
