One critically injured after falling from a cliff in Lago Vista
TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – Officials with the Travis County and Pedernales fire departments reduced an individual who had fallen from a cliff near the Colorado River in Lago Vista Thursday night.
According to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS, the incident occurred at 2600 Patriot Avenue near the Estate on Lake Travis shortly after 10:30 p.m.
Officials say the patient fell between 20-30 feet from the cliff and landed close to the water’s edge where they were rescued by emergency services. The victim was then transported by helicopter to Dell Seton Medical Center.
Details regarding what may have caused the fall are still under investigation as of Friday night.
