One dead in motorcycle accident in NW Austin
AUSTIN, TX – One person died Sunday afternoon in an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in northwest Austin, according to the official Austin-Travis County EMS Twitter account.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 2222 and City Park Road when a car and a motorcycle collided. The unidentified motorcyclist was then ejected from the vehicle.
Though CPR was performed on the victim, the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene before 5:40 p.m.
ATCEMS advised motorists to avoid the area if possible due to extended traffic delays for the cleanup and investigation of the accident.
