Pedestrian killed trying to cross San Antonio freeway
SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio police have identified the man killed while attempting to walk across lanes of Loop 410 Saturday night.
According to KSAT, 64-year-old Alviar Ambrociosolis was struck and killed by a vehicle when he was trying to cross eastbound lanes of the freeway near Airlift Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.
The diver involved in the crash insists they did not notice the man trying to cross the lanes until immediately before hitting him. They remained at the scene of the crash to render aid to the man who died shortly after.
The driver will likely not face any charges as the crash as been ruled an accident.
