Person hospitalized after being trapped in burning vehicle on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – One person was taken to the hospital after being pulled from a burning vehicle involved in a multi-vehicle crash on I-35 early this morning, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.


The accident happened in the 10900 block of southbound I-35 N at 1:48 a.m. According to initial reports, multiple vehicles, including a semi-truck, were involved in the accident.

One person was pulled from the wreckage of a burning vehicle by bystanders at the scene. The victim was taken to Dell Seton with potentially serious injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.

The identity of the victim and the cause of the crash are not available at this time.
