Swimmer injured by boat propeller in Lake Travis accident
AUSTIN, TX – A swimmer was taken to the hospital after they were hit by a boat propeller on Saturday afternoon, according to the official Twitter account of the Austin-Travis County EMS.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. at the 5900 block of Beacon Drive, near Lake Travis.
According to initial reports, the victim was possibly “out of the water” and “in a boat” when the accident occurred.
They were airlifted to Dell Seton Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.
There is no information about the circumstances of the accident at this time, and the identity of the victim has not yet been made public.
