Collision reported near Walter E. Long Park

AUSTIN, TX – Austin emergency services are reporting a collision Northeast of downtown early Monday evening, according to the Austin- Travis County traffic report page. 

The accident occurred along Bloor Road at the north end of Walter E. Long park near the intersection with Texas 130 Toll frontage road. Authorities have not released any information regarding the cause of the crash or if any injuries were sustained as a result.

This portion of Bloor Rd. near TX 130 will likely be shut down while the collision is investigated and cleared from the road. Officials are advising motorists to take an alternate route when traveling to and around the park throughout Monday evening.

Rush hour accident causes congestion in North Austin

AUSTIN, TX – North Austin officials reported a crash on North Lamar Boulevard that resulted in a rush hour traffic jam Friday evening.

The incident occurred just before 6:00 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Lamar Blvd. and Thurmond Street north of downtown Austin, according to the Austin- Travis County traffic report page. Authorities were forced to close a portion of North Lamar Blvd. while the crash could be investigated and cleared from the road, causing evening rush hour traffic to build up.

No information regarding how many vehicles were involved in the crash or if any injuries were sustained as a result has been released as of yet. We will provide further details as they are made available.

East Austin traffic hazard causes rush hour delays close to downtown

AUSTIN, TX – Police in East Austin responded to a traffic hazard near downtown that forced them to close off a portion of East 3rd Street Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at the intersection of East 3rd St. and San Marcos Street east of downtown Austin around 7:45 a.m., according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page. Police closed off the road in response to the hazard and detoured rush hour commuters around the area.

Information on what may have caused the traffic hazard have not been released by Authorities in Austin as of yet.

Accident causes traffic jam in Bee Cave

BEE CAVE, TX – Police in Austin reported a crash on Texas Highway 71 during Wednesday morning rush hour.

The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on TX-71 just before the exit to Spanish Oaks Club Boulevard. Traffic built up quickly near Bee Cave Parkway while authorities worked to investigate the accident and clear the road, according to KXAN.

Details on any injuries sustained by the crash have not yet been released by Police. We will provide any further details as they become available.
