One person injured in pedestrian accident on Lamar Blvd

AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in north Austin last night, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident occurred in the 7600 block of N Lamar Boulevard at 7:19 p.m., when an adult pedestrian was struck by an undisclosed vehicle.

The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was declared a trauma alert, and taken to Dell Seton Hospital for the treatment of potentially serious wounds.

The driver was not reported as injured.

One person killed in early-morning pin-in collision on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed in a pin-in accident on I-35 in central Austin early this morning, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.


The collision occurred at 3735 N I-35 service road at about 1:20 a.m., when two vehicles collided, pinning one person within the wreckage.

Authorities were able to extricate the victim about 25 minutes later, then attempted CPR. Despite these emergency efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by 1:51 a.m.

The second person involved in the accident was not reported as injured.

ATCEMS warned travelers to avoid the area, as the ongoing investigation would lead to heavy traffic delays and extended road closures.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Elderly driver possibly injured after inattentive driving crash in Northwest Hills

AUSTIN, TX – An elderly woman suffered a possible injury in a two-vehicle collision in the Northwest Hills area earlier this week, according to MyAccident.org.

The collision occurred on Far West Boulevard at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

The driver of a bronze 2000 Lexus, an 85-year-old Austin woman, was allegedly not keeping her attention on the road when the front of her vehicle crashed into the front-right corner of a gray 2011 Toyota.

The driver of the Lexus sustained possible injuries during the collision.

The other driver, a 39-year-old man from Pflugerville, was not reported as hurt.

The driver of the Lexus was determined to be at fault in the accident.

Man injured after colliding with woman pulling out of driveway in S Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A 39-year-old man suffered possibly serious injuries after a driver failed to yield the right of way, causing a head-on collision in south Austin on Tuesday evening, according to MyAccident.org.

The crash happened at 8741 Brodie Lane at about 6:10 p.m. when the 28-year-old driver of a gray 2008 Honda failed to yield the right of way while pulling out of a private drive.

She collided head-on with a 39-year-old Austin man who was operating a black 2016 GMC.

The driver of the GMC suffered suspected serious injuries as a result.

The driver of the Honda, who was determined to be at fault, was not reported as hurt.

Person suffers life-threatening burn injuries in E Austin structure fire

AUSTIN, TX – A fire in east Austin yesterday afternoon led to one person suffering critical burn injuries, according to a tweet by the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The structure fire broke out at 4:36 p.m. in the 5000 block of Blue Bluff Road, located just north of the Bud Dryden Airport.

An unidentified adult was taken to Dell Seton for the treatment of severe, life-threatening burns.

While ATCEMS did not immediately disclose the cause of the fire, they stated that EMS units remained on the scene to assist with firefighting efforts.
