AUSTIN, TX – The child injured in a car vs. bicycle crash in northwest Austin yesterday was struck by a City of Austin vehicle driven by a government employee, KVUE reports.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Mustang Chase and Hereford Way just before 3:20 p.m. Emergency services rushed the child to Dell Children’s Medical Center with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
A neighbor who witnessed the collision said that the city vehicle was a dump truck.
