AUSTIN, TX – Authorities with the Austin Police Department were forced to shut down a busy downtown street near Mopac Expressway Friday afternoon.

The collision occurred within the 2200 block of Veterans Drive just east of Eilers Park at about 2:45 p.m., according to the Austin – Travis County traffic report page.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash as of yet. However, this situation is still ongoing. Officials are recommending motorists avoid the area if at all possible throughout Friday evening’s rush hour.

AUSTIN, TX – Official in North Austin have reported injuries resulting from a collision along an Interstate 35 service road Friday morning.

According to the Austin – Travis County traffic report page, the incident occurred near the intersection of Scarbrough Drive and the North I-35 service road shortly before 11:30 a.m.

AUSTIN, TX – North Austin officials were forced to close at least one lane near a residential community following a rush-hour accident Thursday evening.

Multiple injuries in Southeast Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Two individuals were hospitalized following a Wednesday afternoon crash near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

According to KXAN, the crash occurred within the 2400 block of North FM 973 shortly after 2:30 p.m.

Both adult victims required extraction from their vehicle, and were subsequently transported to the hospital by EMS.

One person was reported to have suffered potentially serious injuries, while the other’s were non-life-threatening.

No word on what may have led to the crash has been released as of Wednesday evening.

Overturned vehicle causes delays on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in South Austin responded to an accident that shut down multiple lanes along Interstate 35 late Wednesday morning.

The crash happened shortly before 11:45 a.m. along the I-35 onramp from East William Cannon Drive, according to KXAN,. Police say the vehicle was overturned as a result of the crash. However, no injuries have been reported as a result.

The on-ramp was shut down for a few hours so the wreckage could be cleared, causing major delays on both I-35 and the frontage road. All lanes have since been reopened.
