DUI suspected in crash that caused injury to driver and passenger in N Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A woman accused of driving under the influence and her passenger were injured in a crash in North Austin on Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred in the 12800 block of Irongate Avenue, near Singletree Avenue, at 8:31 a.m.

The driver of a brown 2011 Nissan, a 30-year-old woman, is suspected of being under the influence of drugs when she crashed into the back-left end of a black 1998 Ford. The Nissan then overturned.

The driver of the Nissan and her 29-year-old passenger suffered possible injuries in the crash. A second passenger was unharmed.

It is unclear if anyone was in the Ford when the crash occurred.

1 injured after allegedly intoxicated man causes 6-vehicle crash in Pflugerville

PFLUGERVILLE, TX – A six-vehicle collision on I-35 that reportedly involved intoxicated driving led to the injury of at least one person earlier this week, according to an accident report published by MyAccident.org.

The crash happened at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday night, at the intersection of I-35 and Wells Branch Parkway, which is located near the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.

A 41-year-old man from Austin, operating a black 2006 Infiniti, was reportedly under the influence when he rear-ended another vehicle, leading to a chain-reaction crash involving a total of six vehicles: the Infiniti, a black 2002 Honda, a white 1999 Chevrolet, a black 2011 Honda, a silver 2016 Ford, and a white 2017 Dodge.

The driver of the 2002 Honda, a 27-year-old man from Pflugerville, was reported as possibly injured.

All drivers involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts when the crash occurred.

No other injuries have been reported at this time.
