Austin woman hurt after truck driver fails to yield in N Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A woman was injured after a truck driver failed to yield, leading to a head-on collision on the Capital of Texas Highway on Wednesday morning, according to MyAccident.org.

The accident occurred on the N Capital of TX Hwy (Highway 360), near Wildridge Drive, at about 10:45 a.m.

The driver of a 2017 Mack truck, a 61-year-old man from Elgin, reportedly failed to yield the right of way while at a yield sign. The front of the Mack then collided with the front of a 2015 Mercedes-Benz, operated by a 24-year-old Austin woman.

The driver of the Mercedes suffered non-critical injuries in the accident.

The truck driver was not reported as hurt.

The weather was clear when the accident happened.
