AUSTIN, TX – One person was severely injured in a pin-in collision on the Capital of Texas Highway early this morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened in the 6800 block of N Capital of Texas Hwy southbound at 12:45 a.m., when a single vehicle crashed and overturned about 20 feet off the road.

One person was pinned within the wreckage and declared a trauma alert. After being rescued by emergency crews, they were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center for the treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries.

Drivers were told to expect continued traffic delays near the scene and to watch for investigators.

AUSTIN, TX – One person was taken to the hospital with critical injuries following an early-morning rollover crash on Research Boulevard, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The collision occurred in the 8500 block of northbound Research Blvd at 2:01 a.m., when a vehicle crashed and overturned.

Medics performed CPR and what were described as “extensive medical procedures” on a victim and were able to regain a pulse. The patient, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was taken to Dell Seton to receive treatment for critical, life-threatening injuries.

1 dead, 4 severely injured after multi-vehicle rollover crashes on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed, and four other people were hospitalized following a series of related crashes on I-35 early this morning, according to KXAN.

The accident happened on I-35, near 51st Street, at about 1:55 a.m., when a total of four vehicles crashed.

One of those vehicles overturned, ejecting multiple people in the process.

Three people were taken to Dell Seton with critical, life-threatening injuries. There, one of the victims succumbed to their wounds.

An additional two people were brought to the same hospital with severe wounds.

Three people refused transport at the scene.

The identities of the victims and the cause of the crashes were not immediately released.

AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed, and another was severely injured in a rollover accident on Highway 290 late last night, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened in the 8100 block of W. US-290 at 11:32 p.m., when a vehicle crashed and rolled over onto its roof, pinning two people within the wreckage, according to initial reports.

One person suffers injuries after pin-in collision on Southwest Parkway

AUSTIN, TX – One person was taken to the hospital after being trapped in the wreckage of a crash on Southwest Parkway for over a half-hour yesterday morning.

According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, the crash occurred in the 10000 block of Southwest Parkway at 11:09 a.m., when a single vehicle overturned and trapped the driver within.


The victim, an adult who has yet to be identified, was trapped within the wreckage for over 30 minutes as crews worked to free them. The victim was declared a trauma alert, and after being rescued, was taken to St. David’s South for the treatment of possibly serious wounds.

A medical helicopter was originally called to the scene but was canceled due to poor weather conditions.

While it is unclear at this time what led to the crash, it is highly likely that icy road conditions may have played a role.
