AUSTIN, TX – According to CBS Austin, authorities have identified the man killed in a crash on Tuscany Way on March 25th.

The crash took place when a semi-truck and car collided at around 6:30 p.m. Armando Garcia-Sanchez, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The semi-truck driver was uninjured.

Two killed in accident on FM 1826 Road near TX-45

AUSTIN, TX – According to a series of tweets from the Austin-Travis County EMS, two people have died in a semi-truck accident on FM 1826 Road near TX-45.

UPDATE: Police ID pedestrian killed in Oct. 21 truck accident

AUSTIN, TX – Austin police have identified the man killed in a collision with a semi on I-35 on October 21, KXAN reports.

This is an update to a previous post.

Police say that the incident happened as an officer was attempting to apprehend a pedestrian who was walking along the concrete barrier in the 7400 block of I-35. The officer turned on the cruiser’s warning lights, prompting a nearby semi truck to change lanes. The pedestrian then hopped the barrier and ran onto the interstate, where he was struck by the semi. His motivations for doing so are unclear.

The victim has been identified as Armando De La Cruz, 33. His death marked the 76th traffic fatality in Austin this year, an increase of nine over the same time window in 2019.

Driver dies after crashing into a firetruck

AUSTIN, TX – According to KVUE, a woman has died after crashing into a firetruck on the southbound I-35 frontage road near Parmer Lane.

The crash took place at around 2:16 on October 17th. Police have now identified the driver as 35-year-old India McKinley. She crashed into the fire truck as it was responding to another car accident and had its lights on.

Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-35

GEORGETOWN, TX – According to a Tweet from ATCEMS, a motorcyclist has died following a crash with a truck.

The accident took place late last night near Leander Road.  According to the tweet, no other injuries resulted from this crash.

Large truck burst into flames

AUSTIN, TX – KXAN reported a truck that burst into flames the morning of May 11 in southeast Austin.

The Austin Fire department responded to the location of the fire on the 7600 block of Bluff Springs Road with support from TCSO.

A KXAN witness, Brian McKinney, sent in a video of the truck near a gas station where you can see large plumes of smoke as firefighters are extinguishing the fire.
