Rush-hour crash causes delays on Capital of Texas Highway

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in Southwest Austin responded to a collision on the Capital of Texas Highway during Thursday evening’s rush-hour traffic.

The accident occurred near the intersection of the highway and Walsh Tarlton Lane shortly after 5:40 p.m., according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page.

No injuries have been reported as an immediate result of the crash. However, the collision did cause significant delays for South Austin commuters throughout rush-hour.

Two injured in multi-vehicle crash in East Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Officials with the Austin – Travis County EMS transported one person to the hospital following a collision along the Capital of Texas Freeway during Monday evening’s rush hour.

The crash occurred near the intersection of North Capital of Texas Highway and Waymaker Way at about 4:30 p.m., according to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS.

One individual required extraction from their vehicle and was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center to be treated for life-threatening injuries. Another occupant sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash have yet to be released. However, the collision caused significant delays on this portion of the Capital of Texas Highway for commuters on Monday evening.

Accident closes lane on Capital of Texas Highway

AUSTIN, TX – North Austin officials are reporting delays as the result of a rush-hour accident northwest of downtown Austin.

According to KXAN, the incident was reported shortly after 4:00 p.m. along the Capital of Texas Highway near Great Hills Trail. Officials have shut down a portion of the southbound lanes on the highway as a result of the crash.

Information regarding how many vehicles were involved in the crash or what may have caused it to happen has not yet been made available by North Austin Police. However, authorities are urging motorists to find an alternate route as delays are likely while the wreckage can be cleared from the road.
