Accident shuts down road near downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities with the Austin Police Department were forced to shut down a busy downtown street near Mopac Expressway Friday afternoon.

The collision occurred within the 2200 block of Veterans Drive just east of Eilers Park at about 2:45 p.m., according to the Austin – Travis County traffic report page.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash as of yet. However, this situation is still ongoing. Officials are recommending motorists avoid the area if at all possible throughout Friday evening’s rush hour.

Crash causes delays in downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities in downtown Austin were forced to shut down a street near Veterans Park following a crash Thursday morning.

According to the Austin – Travis County traffic report page, the accident occurred near the intersection of Lake Austin Boulevard and Upson Street shortly after 10: 30 a.m.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision. However, authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area throughout Wednesday afternoon while the crash is investigated and cleared from the road.

Urgent crash reported near downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency Services in Austin are responding to an urgent crash on Interstate 35 northbound just south of the Colorado River.

The accident occurred at about 10:05 p.m. along I-35 Northbound near Riverside drive. Officials have not yet closed off the road. However, delays are likely as the investigation is still ongoing, according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page.
