Two injured following crash in East Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were taken to the hospital after being involved in a crash east of downtown Austin Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Austin American Statesman, the accident occurred at the intersection of Seventh Street and Springdale Road around 1:23 p.m.

Two patients were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with what authorities believe to be non-life-threatening injuries. No information regarding how the crash may have transpired has been released as of yet. We will provide those details if they become available at a later time.

One trapped inside vehicle following East Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – East Austin authorities rescued a motorist after a semi vs. vehicle crash near Southeast Metropolitan park during Monday evening rush hour.

The accident happened in the 4500 block of East State Highway 71 at about 5:00 p.m., according to the Austin-Travis County EMS Twitter page. 

One person had to be extracted from their vehicle by officials at the scene. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene. No information on what may have caused the crash has been released as of yet.

East Austin traffic hazard causes rush hour delays close to downtown

AUSTIN, TX – Police in East Austin responded to a traffic hazard near downtown that forced them to close off a portion of East 3rd Street Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at the intersection of East 3rd St. and San Marcos Street east of downtown Austin around 7:45 a.m., according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page. Police closed off the road in response to the hazard and detoured rush hour commuters around the area.

Information on what may have caused the traffic hazard have not been released by Authorities in Austin as of yet.
