Multi-vehicle collision shuts down Airport Blvd.

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities with the Austin Police Department reported injuries following a multi-vehicle collision east of downtown Thursday morning.

The crash occurred within the southbound lanes in of Airport Boulevard near the intersection with Oak Springs Drive shortly before 8:20 a.m., according to CBS Austin.

Officials have reported injuries as a result of the collision. However, the number of people hurt, and the severity of those injuries remains unknown.

The southbound lanes of this portion of Airport Blvd. at Oak Springs Dr. was shut down for a few hours causing significant delays for rush-hour commuters in East Austin.

Two injured in multi-vehicle crash in East Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Officials with the Austin – Travis County EMS transported one person to the hospital following a collision along the Capital of Texas Freeway during Monday evening’s rush hour.

The crash occurred near the intersection of North Capital of Texas Highway and Waymaker Way at about 4:30 p.m., according to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS.

One individual required extraction from their vehicle and was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center to be treated for life-threatening injuries. Another occupant sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash have yet to be released. However, the collision caused significant delays on this portion of the Capital of Texas Highway for commuters on Monday evening.

Urgent rush-hour crash reported in East Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency Services east of downtown Austin reported a collision along a highway service road during Thursday evening’s rush hour.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident occurred at the intersection of Smith Road and U.S. Highway 183 shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Accident reported in Southeast Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in Del Valle responded to a crash that closed at least one lane along Texas Route 71 Thursday evening.

According to KXAN, the crash happened along TX-71 westbound at the Ross Road overpass near Southeast Metropolitan Park at about 7:20 p.m. No injuries have been reported at this time. However, police are advising motorists to avoid this portion of westbound TX-71 until the crash can be cleared from the road.

Information regarding the cause of the incident has not yet been made available. We will provide any further details as they are released by Del Valle Police.

One trapped inside vehicle following East Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – East Austin authorities rescued a motorist after a semi vs. vehicle crash near Southeast Metropolitan park during Monday evening rush hour.

The accident happened in the 4500 block of East State Highway 71 at about 5:00 p.m., according to the Austin-Travis County EMS Twitter page. 

One person had to be extracted from their vehicle by officials at the scene. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene. No information on what may have caused the crash has been released as of yet.

East Austin crash closes road near downtown

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities in East Austin reported a crash that closed down a residential road near East 12th Street Tuesday morning.

According to the Austin Traffic tracker, the incident occurred just after 10:00 a.m. on Hargrave Street east of downtown Austin. Austin Police shut down the portion of Hargrave St. between 12th St. and Sol Wilson Avenue while the crash was investigated and cleared.
