San Antonio man killed in early morning freeway crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One man was killed following a multi-vehicle crash on the North Side of San Antonio early Wednesday morning.

According to KSAT, the crash occurred within the westbound lanes of Loop 1604 close to Stone Oak Parkway at about 6:00 a.m.

Police believe the 26-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle due to wet road conditions and collided with several other cars in the process.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Details regarding his identity are being withheld pending notification of the family.

Rodeo cowboy killed in multiple-vehicle accident

LAKE SOMERVILLE, TX – According to ABC 13, a popular rodeo cowboy from Houston was killed in a multiple-vehicle accident near Somerville last Saturday.

Justin Richard, 37, was one of the four victims killed in the crash.

Authorities say that Ignacio Aviles, 37, was driving south in his F-250 on LBJ Drive when he went off the right side of the road, hit the guardrail, and caromed into the northbound lanes.

Aviles struck a 2001 Chevy Suburban that was occupied by Richard, 18-year-old Chase Sowders, 18-year-old Jasmine Maxwell, and 6-year-old Payton Francis at around 11:05 p.m. All four people died in the accident.

Aviles suffered life threatening injuries and was airlifted to CHI St. Joseph Health in Bryan.

DPS said investigators are still determining whether speed or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

Odessa man in fatal car accident identified

ECTOR COUNTY, TX – An Odessa man killed in a car crash in Ector County on Saturday has been identified, CBS 7 reports.

The victim, 29-year-old Gen S. Hernandez, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 385 when his Ford F-150 left the road and entered the center median when his car rolled.

Responders arrived at the scene at approximately 10:49 p.m. where they discovered Hernandez deceased body not wearing a seat belt.

Multiple-vehicle accident on Metric Boulevard kills at least one, hospitalizes five people

AUSTIN, TX – At least one person is dead and multiple others were hospitalized on Friday following a car accident on Metric Boulevard, according to KVUE.

The accident occurred in the 12300 block of Metric Boulevard. One of the vehicles crashed into a tree and trapped two others inside the car.

The accident appeared to be the result of a driving mistake and did not seem to be due to criminal behavior.

One person died, identified only as an older male. There are currently no further details regarding the victim.

Five people were hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries. CPR was performed on the victim. At least one other person sustained serious injuries, as well.

The crash remains under investigation by the Austin Police Department.
