North Austin police identify pedestrian killed along I-35

AUSTIN, TX – Law Enforcement officials in North Austin released the identity of the man killed while attempting to cross Interstate 35 near Braker Lane on Friday, July 10th.

According to the Austin American Statesman, the victim was 23-year-old Roberto Luna Pantoja. EMS attempted to save Pantoja but were unable to.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. Charges are not expected to be filed against that individual at this time.

Pedestrian killed in crash at 2700 West Loop South

HOUSTON, TX. – A woman was killed while trying to cross West Interstate Highway 610 South freeway on Sunday.

According to the Houston Police Department, the crash occurred at around 3:20 a.m. at 2700 West Loop South. The victim, a 23-year-old female was reportedly trying to cross the highway when she was struck by a gray GMC Yukon XL. The driver of the Yukon remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. They were later released.
