Man allegedly runs over ex-wife in hit-and-run in SW San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A woman died early Saturday morning in southwest San Antonio after her ex-husband allegedly ran her over with his vehicle, according to KENS 5.

The accident happened at about 2:30 a.m. when the victim, who was not publicly identified, was struck by a black pickup truck while she had been walking along the street. The driver of the truck allegedly then fled the scene.

The victim’s husband, 30-year-old David Estrada was at the scene when officers arrived to find the victim unresponsive. They later came to suspect that he was the driver who had struck and killed her.

He is facing charges of murder in connection with the victim’s death.

Police search for suspect involved in a fatal San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Investigators with the San Antonio Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision earlier this month.

According to KENS, 26-year-old Miguel Angel Fred was fatally hit while driving on North Loop 1604 the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 12th.

The driver is believed to be driving either a large-sized truck with a tandem or an 18-wheeler when they rear-ended Fred’s vehicle at about 2:30 a.m.

No other identifying information on the driver involved in the crash has been released as of yet.

UPDATE Victim identified in fatal San Antonio freeway crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX  – Officials in San Antonio have identified the man killed in an early-morning crash along a freeway northwest of downtown Wednesday.

According to KSAT, 26-year-old Miguel Fred was found dead at the scene of the collision on Loop 1604 near Green Mountain Road at about 2:30 a.m.

Officials believe Fred was speeding when he collided with the rear end of another vehicle within the eastbound lanes of the freeway before coming to a stop in the median.

The second vehicle was said to have left the scene immediately following the crash. No identifying details have been released.

One dead after San Antonio freeway collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Official in Northeast San Antonio have reported a single fatality resulting from an early morning collision on Wednesday.

According to KTSA, the crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. within the eastbound lanes of North Loop 1604 close to Green Mountain Road. Police believe the driver who was killed in the crash rear-ended another vehicle which sped away after being hit.

Another motorist spotted the wreckage and notified police who found the victim deceased upon their arrival on the scene. Details regarding the identity of the other driver involved in the crash remain unknown as of Wednesday night.

Man hit, killed by car while walking out of store in N San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A pedestrian died Friday night after being struck by a car outside of a store in north San Antonio, according to KSAT.

The collision occurred in the 3100 block of Blanco Road, near Lee Hall Street, as Eduardo Escamilla, 61, was walking out of a store.

A compact car collided with him, leading to his death at the scene of the accident.

The driver stopped to wait for emergency assistance after hitting Escamilla.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the accident at this time.
