GEORGETOWN, TX – An unidentified person is dead following a multi-vehicle accident yesterday on Interstate 35 in Georgetown.
According to a report by KXAN, the accident happened before 5:30 a.m. on I-35 and County Road 146.
The accident caused authorities to close southbound lanes of traffic for around four hours.
There is no word at this time as to the identity of the victim or the circumstances of the crash.

GEORGETOWN, TX – One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on the South I-35 Freeway Tuesday morning, according to a report filed by the Georgetown Police Department.
The 81-year-old driver of a tan 2007 Ford was driving at an unsafe speed at 11:00 a.m. on May 12, when he crashed head-first into a gray 2007 BMW driven by a 64-year-old woman. The reporting officer listed the woman as being possibly injured in the collision, and while the man was unharmed, a tow truck was required to remove his Ford from the roadway.
It is unclear if the female motorist required hospitalization for her injuries.
