AUSTIN, TX – Officials with the Austin – Travis County EMS transported one person to the hospital following a collision along the Capital of Texas Freeway during Monday evening’s rush hour.
The crash occurred near the intersection of North Capital of Texas Highway and Waymaker Way at about 4:30 p.m., according to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS.

One individual required extraction from their vehicle and was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center to be treated for life-threatening injuries. Another occupant sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash have yet to be released. However, the collision caused significant delays on this portion of the Capital of Texas Highway for commuters on Monday evening.
