Pedestrian killed in North Austin accident

AUSTIN, TX – One adult pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle along Interstate 35 early Friday morning.

North Austin Paramedics responded to a report of a person being hit along the 11800 block of Interstate 35 southbound just after 4:30 a.m., according to the Austin American Statesman.

Upon their arrival on the scene, medics attempted life-saving measures on the victim but were unsuccessful. The investigation closed all southbound lanes on I-35 near Breaker Lane for a few hours Friday morning, the lanes have since been reopened.

Collision reported near North Austin school

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency Services in North Austin responded to a reported collision in a residential area near McNeil High School Friday afternoon.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Maverick Way and McNeil Drive.

The school is closed for the summer and no injuries have been reported as a result of the crash. Although, police are advising motorists to avoid McNeil Dr. while the accident is cleared from the roadway.

Four people, including children injured in North Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Two children and two adults were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident in North Austin late Thursday morning.

The crash happened within the 2600 block of the US Highway 290 frontage road. Upon arrival at the scene, officials noticed 5 individuals involved, one pinned inside of their vehicle, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

Upon extracting the victim from their car, four victims were transported to a Dell Seton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Urgent Crash reported off of North Lamar Blvd.

AUSTIN, TX – Police in North Austin have reported an urgent crash in a residential neighborhood off of North Lamar Boulevard late Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident occurred within the 5100 block of Grover Avenue near the intersection with West Northloop Boulevard just before 3:00 p.m.

No word on whether any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash has been released. However, motorists are advised to avoid the area throughout Tuesday evening while officials investigate and clear the incident from the road.

Late night crash closes I-35 service road

AUSTIN, TX – Police in North Austin were forced to close an Interstate 35 frontage road following a crash Wednesday night.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident happened at about 10:10 p.m. at the intersection of East Rundberg Lane and I-35 southbound. Police closed off the intersection as well as a portion of the I-35 frontage road advising drivers to avoid the area throughout Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

Crash near I-35 limits traffic during rush hour

AUSTIN, TX – Police in North Austin responded to an accident on Red River Street early Monday evening.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, an incident occurred at the intersection of Red River St. and East Dean Keeton Street just after 5:00 p.m.

Rush hour accident reported in North Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in North Austin responded to an accident on Burnet Road northbound early Monday evening.

According to the Austin Police Traffic Viewer, the accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Burnet Road and Research Boulevard near the Highway 183 on-ramp.

The incident is being reported as a crash service and will likely shut down at least one lane on Burnet Rd. Northbound for a portion of Monday evening’s rush hour commute.

Three injured in North Austin car crash

AUSTIN, TX – Austin-Travis County EMS reported a multi-vehicle crash that sent three motorists to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred along the 4600 block of East Palmer Lane, north of downtown Austin. Medics had to extract one occupant who was pinned inside their overturned SUV.

The individual in the SUV was transported to the hospital in critical condition while two others were taken to another hospital with minor injuries, According to Austin-Travis County EMS. 

Details on the identities of those involved and the cause of the crash have yet to be released. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Possible injuries in Thursday morning accident near Ramsey Park

AUSTIN, TX – Police in North Austin responded to an urgent crash with potential injuries one block away from Ramsey Park Thursday Morning.
