Four people, including children injured in North Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Two children and two adults were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident in North Austin late Thursday morning.

The crash happened within the 2600 block of the US Highway 290 frontage road. Upon arrival at the scene, officials noticed 5 individuals involved, one pinned inside of their vehicle, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

Upon extracting the victim from their car, four victims were transported to a Dell Seton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Details as to what caused the crash or the identities of those involved have not yet been made public. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates as they are made public.

Accident blocks lane on North Austin road

AUSTIN, TX – Officials north of Austin are investigating a crash that closed a lane along West Palmer Lane Wednesday evening.

According to KXAN, the intersection of West Palmer Ln. and Farm to Market Road 620 near Ganzert Lake in North Austin. Officials have this portion of West Palmer Ln. blocked off and are advising motorists to find another route on to FM 620 during Wednesday evening rush hour.

No word on if any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash as of yet. However, this situation is still developing. We will continue to monitor it and provide any further details as they are released.

Urgent Crash reported off of North Lamar Blvd.

AUSTIN, TX – Police in North Austin have reported an urgent crash in a residential neighborhood off of North Lamar Boulevard late Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident occurred within the 5100 block of Grover Avenue near the intersection with West Northloop Boulevard just before 3:00 p.m.

No word on whether any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash has been released. However, motorists are advised to avoid the area throughout Tuesday evening while officials investigate and clear the incident from the road.

22-year-old victim in truck accident identified

AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police have confirmed the identity of a the victim in a fatal truck crash north of downtown Austin Monday.

According to CBS Austin, Eber Misael Castillo Ortiz, 22, was left severely injured after a truck in which he was a passenger collided with a stone mailbox in the 500 block of East Grady Drive. The driver of the truck fled on foot, leaving Ortiz at the scene.

Ortiz was pronounced dead shortly after paramedics began performing life-saving measures on him.

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the driver involved in the accident.
