Crash causes rush hour delays on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency Services in North Austin were forced to close down lanes on Interstate 35 following a crash late Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred on Interstate 35 near the exit for 51st Street just before 2:00 p.m., according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page. Officials have not released any information regarding what may have caused the crash as of yet. However, this situation is still ongoing and those details will be provided as they are released.

Motorists are advised to avoid I-35 northbound near downtown if at all possible Monday evening as delays are likely throughout rush hour while the crash is investigated and cleared from the road.

Accident on Austin freeway slows rush hour traffic

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in Austin responded to a crash on US Highway 183 Southwest of downtown that slowed rush hour traffic to a near halt Thursday evening.

According to the Austin- Travis County traffic report page, the crash was reported at 6:19 p.m. on US-183 northbound near Pecan Park Boulevard and South Lamar Boulevard. Authorities partially shut down the freeway until the crash could be cleared from the road causing a traffic to build up.

No word on if any injuries were sustained as a result of the incident have been released as of yet. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates that become available.
