SAN ANTONIO, TX – A construction worker was rushed into surgery after being thrown from a tractor in San Antonio Tuesday morning.
According to News 4 San Antonio, the incident occurred within the 4200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive shortly before 8:00 a.m.
Investigators believe the victim was riding as a passenger in a tractor-hoe driving on the road when it was struck by a pickup truck. The man was ejected from the machinery and suffered a serious injury to his leg.
He was immediately taken into surgery at a local hospital. No updates on his condition have been made available as of Wednesday.
The driver of the truck claims the sun was impeding his vision of the road causing the accident to occur. No charges have been filed against them at this time.
